Four Types of Sentences Flip Books
Today, we learned the names for the four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. The students loved acting out these types of sentences with their meanings! We then created these take home flip books so they can practice the sentences types and what they end with at home! Here are some pictures of your students creating their flip books! They turned out fantastic!

Horn Books
This week in history, we have been discussing what it was like in colonial times. We spent some time discussing the differences between the one room colonial school and our school. The students then created their very own "horn book" or the first school book. Here is a picture of the students working hard!

Create A Word Search
Last week, our students took their spelling words and created their own word search! The next day, they traded word searches with a friend and used a highlighter to locate all the spelling words! It was great to see them create these and try to "stump" their friends!

Flat Stanley!
For those of you who do not our friend, Flat Stanley, he is the main character in the book series that we have been reading since the start of school. Stanley is a boy that was flattened by a bulletin board in his room one night and then proceeds to take many adventures around the world by mailing himself to different places. We have taken it upon ourselves to decorate our own Flat Stanleys and mail them around the world! The kids did a fantastic job on their Stanleys and we are looking forward to tracking them and receiving pictures of Stanley traveling the world! Enjoy the pictures!
