Facts Can be Fun

The students have been hard at work practicing their addition and subtraction facts. Parents, I know that many of you have been practicing at home as well! Thank you! It will pay off! In this activity, student worked together to make facts from cubes. These cubes have numbers and as well plus, minus, and equal signs. We received these wonderful cubes from Highlights. Thank you, parents for returning those order forms. We always receive great stuff from Highlights!

Fun with Measuring

Greetings! It has been a few weeks since I have posted, but don't worry! We have been doing tons of fun activities! Here is one that we did during spirit week! (That is why the students are dressed crazy) We were learning about inches, feet, and the ruler and so the students did what they knew to do...measured things! Students had the opportunity to go around the room and measure as many things as they could find. They did a great job! Here are some pics!

   

Shaving Cream Fun

So last week, the students got messy with their spelling words! We put some shaving cream on each desk and the students spelled out each spelling word. I was so proud of them! They did great and had tons of fun! Enjoy these pictures!

A New School Year Had Begun

          We are four weeks into another school year, and with it comes another awesome group of second graders! We started off the year getting to know one another by presenting our Me Box projects. Each student filled their boxes with some of their favorites things. Students did a great job, and we were able to get to know each other better. Look forward to another great year!
